This is one of my quickie soups. There are times when you just need a yummy meal fast. Soups are my go-to quick meal. I can literally go from frozen beef to hot yummy meal in less than 20 minutes.
I tend to use leftovers in my soups. The first time I made this was left over hamburgers. I chopped them up & tossed them in a pan with onions, garlic, a handful of withered basil & just ran with it.
The best thing about this soup is you can tweak the spice profile for whatever flavor you are in the mood for >>> in the moment.
This one is basil & Italian – warm, yummy & traditional! You could easily go with cilantro and cumin or lemon with tarragon. Use the base & play with the oils. I like this one with tangerine & ginger too!!! I adore using my essential oils because it gives me such a fresh strong flavor with just a little amount of oil. So much variety.
If you have them, toss in all your favorite veggies too!! If you are new to cooking with essential oils, you may want to adjust the amount of EO you use. The basil essential oil makes it a bit spicy, start low & add more as you go. Always add your EO at the end after you have finished cooking. If you heat your oils too much, you use some of the health benefits. Still taste amazing!!
Play with it & let me know what flavors you come up with!!
